Welcome to WIME Awards
The Women in Maritime and Energy Awards is a unique initiative to place importance on the impact and recognition of the growing achievements of women in the Maritime and Energy industries while celebrating and honoring the professionals making the greatest and remarkable impacts in both industries.
The Women in Maritime and Energy Awards (WIME Awards) was established to celebrate and spotlight the exceptional achievements of women in the Maritime and Energy sectors in Africa whilst highlighting their leadership role in business success and fostering partnership and collaboration among women and leaders from both industries.
In 2023, the WIME Awards earned the endorsement of the United Nations UNWomen in Nigeria under the leadership of its Country Director, Ms. Beatrice Eyong.
About WIME Awards
The WIME Awards is a recognition of the benefits of an increasing women’s participation in functional and business leadership roles in the maritime and energy sector. This increase is globally proven to be an enabler for economic growth and national development.
As more women are emerging achievers at higher levels in the Maritime and Energy industries than ever before, it is imperative to celebrate and tell the stories of the advancement and successes recorded as well as the greater value and development these humans are bringing to both industries through their expertise, experience, knowledge, education, and talent which enhances business results.
The purpose of this award platform is to encourage the women in these cross-sectoral fields of maritime and energy, while challenging them to deliver more value for their organizations and industries.
